How to add missing digital channels in WMC?

Hello, I have windows 7 media center and I just switched from a hauppauge pvr-1600 card to an HD PVR to start watching some of the HD channels that come with my cable package. I've been able to resolve most issue so far using IR suite (the default unit with the HD pvr refused to work with my stb). It mostly works well now except one of the channels I received all the time (with the pvr-1600 card) is now missing. Channel 206 -BBC Canada. When I edit my guide listings, the option to "add missing channels". I've tried rescanning, using the guide tool but neither work. I can tune this channel with ir suite and It works fine, just media center seems to have deleted this channel. Is there any way to manually add it?

Might check settings/TV/guide/edit channels.
If it has a weak signal,media center may have left it unselected.
Check the list of channels for ones that aren't selected that don't have a lock
to the right of them.
Select all the ones the aren't locked (encrypted) and save the settings.

thanks, that was the first thing I tried. there is no option to add channels in the edit window when I'm using an HDPVR and the hauppage MCE software. I even tried using GuideTool but there the "add channel" button is also greyed out. how do I fix this so that I can add this missing channel?

If you rerun a full scan it seems to pick up extra channels
