Moving the Ceton from a tower to a HTPC.
Moved the infinitv 4 PCI from tower to HTPC
Moved the cables (cable, USB to TA) from the tower to HTPC
MB is Gigabyte 78lmt-USB3 with on board HDMI.
Get the Digital Cable Advisor says
Graphics failed - We recommend that you update your video card to one that supports hardware acceleration
I went with this MB so not having to worry about a video card.
We can see live TV so I am not sure that this is really saying.
CPU is an AMD Fx-6300 (6 way).
Is this MB HDMI not workable or ????

You need ATI HD4200 or above to get hardware acceleration. You either need to replace the MB or add on a video card. Adding a card is probably the cheapest and easiest solution.

You can grab an ATI 5450 video card for around $20 many places online, that should take care of your issues.

To expand on this, ATI calls their DirectX implementation "Unified Video Decoder", or UVD. There are several versions of UVD (UVD, UVD+, UVD 2, UVD 2.2, and UVD 3). Hardware MPEG decoding didn't get introduced until UVD 2, so you'll need a GPU that has UVD 2 or higher. Your current onboard HD3000 only has UVD+, which doesn't have hardware MPEG decoding capabilities.mcewinter wrote:You need ATI HD4200 or above to get hardware acceleration.
