I obviously haven't been paying attention, becuase I wasn't expecting these to be available yet, but I got an e-mail from NewEgg this morning advertising the new 4th Gen i5 and i7 processors.

Has anyone had their hands on one of these CPUs, and if so, how does it handle the 29/59 problem

the 29/59 issue is a rare one outside of the green button, but these chips do solve another framerate issue.

Thanks. Interesting read.
I can't really justify upgrading my HTPC at this point, but I see that MicroCenter has a bundle of an i3-3225 with an MSI MB for $165 (after $10 MIR). That's a nice price for what looks like a decent HTPC system.
