Can't add/remove recorded tv library locations

I am setting up a new network share, and I keep trying to remove the old share from my library locations and add the new one and it just keeps failing to save my changes. I've looked online and found lots of posts talking about deleting the media player database and setting things up again then, but this does not work at all for me. It just keeps my old settings. Any help?
