DVR-MS files on the Echo
I have long been considering buying three echos for the house. My current set-up is HTPC in living room, Samsung media extender in the bedroom. I want to add an echo for the kitchen, the babies room, and the patio. I currently have all of my dvd's ripped to dvr-ms files to play on the samsung extender. They also play well on the WD TVlive I have currently on the patio. Has anyone had any issues with dvr-ms at all?

I thought Samsung (and HP) had released a few TV's with the extender capability built-in.... I know HP did, at least. Maybe Samsung's packaged with TVs, but still a separate unit?

A WMC extender? I had not heard of this but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

you haven't heard of it because it doesn't exist We can hardly get standalone extenders... much less the built-in varietySammy2 wrote:A WMC extender? I had not heard of this but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The Samsung Model is Samsung MR00EA1. It is no longer in production and only works with certain Samsung TV sets. Works through HDMI-CEC.
