MKV/MP4 playback causes Extender app to crash

Playback of MP4/MKV in my Movies menu causes the extender app on my Xbox 360 to crash.

I'm running the Shark 007 Win7 codecs, 32 and x64, standard configuration.

Weirdest thing? The same files playback just fine if I load them through the "Pictures and Videos" menu.

MP4 files can be played back natively on an xbox 360 and as a media center extender so I wouldn't use any other software codecs to help with MP4. With regard to MKV's I change the container over to WTV using DVRMSToolbox which is fairly quick and works without issues. An xbox 360 can natively playback WTV files as an extender so you remove any requirement for external codecs you can use Microsoft codecs for WTV, AVI and MP4 along with WMV format as well.

Hope this helps!
