How to reset db?

#1

Post by STC » Fri Dec 28, 2012 5:37 pm

Good day fellow TGBans!
I trust your Christmas and New Year celebrations are good ones.

Recently I swapped out my 2TB recording drive for a new one due to some bad sectors.
I did some housekeeping by manually deleting a lot of shows I didn't want to keep outside of MC via the explorer interface then transferred the remaining keepers over (which still took over four hours).

MC lists correctly only the remaining shows on the drive, but Companion is still listing all shows prior to the deletions.
It has been four days since the transfer.

Is there a way to reset the Companion Config or kick it to tell it to rescan?

Hmm, thinking laterally here, could it be cached info within the Companion app itself?
I may be barking up the wrong tree looking at the config side....

You can clear the cache within the app and see what that does.

Inside the app nothing is really cached around except for the channel information for the PC. We re-query the every time to get fresh data.

Although the services do different things and it might be cached in there, so a restart of the PC, or the services "should" clear it up.

I assume nothing is showing up inside of media center? Only in the app?

Let me know. cheers.
