What made you think you needed 16 GB of RAM? With 4GB, you could have easily run two extenders simultaneously. I have 8GB in my system, and while running all four of my extenders simultaneously, plus a 5th show playing on the TV that is connected to the PC, mine uses 6.3GB of RAM... meaning that I still have 1.7GB free.vert18 wrote:i know what extenders are..
i did my homework, thats why i own an echo. thats why i upgraded my ram from 4gig to 16gig on my htpc

shared video ram was taking up a bit..
so on upgrading ram, decided just to go with the htpc's max and get it over with instead of a future upgrade.
bedroom is why i want the echo off . i like my sleep without glaring lights
on them remotes from logitech ... i cant stand them things.. 'prob cause i dunno how to program them properly' frigging headache to run up to the bedroom after waiting for one to program itself to test and it not working...

There are no lights on the echo when it is on if you set the front LED to 0 in the webGUI settings application.
Use Media Center Computer SE in the Logitech set-up program for the echo and/or any HTPC.

How long has it been since we heard from anyone at Ceton on the State of the Echo? Am I missing a status update somewhere?
