Windows 8 "Metro" PDF reader and USPS Bar Codes

This isn't in any way Media Center related, but I thought I'd throw it out there - it might save someone some hassle.

I was sending a package yesterday, and I decided to purchase the "stamp" online at usps.com. I entered the details and saved the PDF file generated by USPS, opened it in the PDF reader that comes with Windows 8, figured out how to print it (no menus/icons, but ctrl+P still works), and taped the printout to the front of the box.

As I was putting the box in my mailbox, I noticed something strange - there was no bar-code on the label. I brought the box back inside, and went back to my PC, and sure enough there wasn't any bar-code displayed in the PDF viewer in Windows 8. I downloaded an installed the PDFXchange viewer, opened the saved PDF file, and there was the bar-code!

I didn't find any mention of this in Google, but apparently Mac users have had a similar problem when using Safari to download their PDF postage labels.

I thought I'd share it, in case anyone else get's bitten by this bug!
