So WIndows 8.

No doubt we all watched the preview videos of the Windows 8 tablet interface, and seen the music, pictures and video tiles, and how they look very familiar.

So with a new Windows 8 large UI do we need a dedicated Media Center application. If there was a tile that ran the TV app and a movie library app, you would
have a Media Center without a Media Center.

Adding new functions would be as simple as taking whatever the latest cool Window 8 app was and adding it to the tile wall.

Of course one question is, how would extenders work in this new world...

With the Xbox E3 keynote showing the new tiled UI coming to the Xbox later this year, this will be the interface for all MS devices by the end of 2012.

About a thrird of the way in...
