Closed Caption Settings

#1

One of my Echos will not persist the closed caption setting. When it's rebooted I always have to select the CC1 setting to get captions to display when I select mute. On the other Echo, when I mute the sound, captions display automatically. On the Echo that won't display CC automatically, I've selected the CC1 setting so captions display and have gracefully shutdown the unit, but I still have to select CC1 after I mute the device after it reboots. The other Echo works fine. It reboots and when I select mute from the companion app closed captions display automatically.

While I'm on the subject of settings, I would like to the mute setting to be persistent. If the Echos are muted, and I need to reboot due to a freeze or a crash, I want the Echos to be muted after they reboot. My Echos are set to play live TV automatically on startup.

Thanks.
