Windows Update Reboot

#1

Post by mogulman » Wed Nov 28, 2012 11:00 pm

I noticed since updating to Windows 8, that when new updates install via Windows update (automatic), that I get a Dialog in WMC that asks if I want to reboot or postpone.

I don't remember this happening with Windows 7. I believe the system automatically updated and then rebooted itself at night.

Is this new or am I imagining things.

Could I have possibly set it up to happen automatically at a certain time? I don't remember ever seeing this.

Yep, I also get this on at least one of my W7 HTPC's. I haven't looked at the settings to see why this one gives me this option and my others don't as it has never bothered me either way.
