1 of 4 extenders not working
After the power went out as a result of the hurricane I couldn't get one of my 4 extenders to connect to my pc. I am getting connection failure message. I am running vista on this machine. I have tried rebooting the pc and media center and deleting the extender certificate. I have also restarted the router. I am about to do a system restore to before the power went out but I think the problem is the extender. Every time I reboot it it behaves like its being started up for the first time. The extender is a linksys 2200. The 3 other extenders are working fine. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have any other machine that you can try to attach the Extender to - a Windows 7 laptop, or another desktop? If you can't get the Extender to attach reliably to another machine then you can save yourself the trouble of restoring your HTPC, it probably won't make any difference.
At that point, I'd more the extender to another network connection - maybe it's a networking issue.

Yes I do actually. I will give that a shot this weekend. I also have a switch that the extender might be running through. I will check that as well. Thanks for your suggestion.

Like foxwood said I'd go with network. The network port on the Extender may have been surged or the switch/router port you are using could have been surged as well.

Well it appears the system restore worked. I had started it and then went to bed. Had to reconfigure all 4 but they are now connected. Thanks for your help.
