Movie display limit in companion app?

#1

Post by reluctantflux » Fri Nov 02, 2012 1:18 am

Companion app only shows a-f of my movie library. I have about 600 movies. Is there a limit?

I'm missing about 50 of my movies out of 182. I think it's a YAMM thing. If it doesn't get an exact match for the title of the folder, it doesn't display. I suspect this cause all the movies that don't show up for me are ones with dashes or other characters/naming conventions in the titles. I'm hoping when they make the switch to read local dvdid.xml's all of my flicks will show up. In the meantime, check the folder names.

That was my first thought, but I get non a-f movies in the "new movies" tab. For example, "The Tempest" shows up in "new movies" but not collection. I'm using the android 1.2.4 app.

I will do a check when I get home, but when you scroll to the bottom of the page it should load more movies it groups about 200 at a time. What phone and specific firmware are you using?

Just counted and yeah, only 200 are being displayed. Google nexus 7 on 4.1.2

I also have this problem with the latest android app on both an Incredible 2 and a Transformer TF101. Both devices are running CM10 jellybean. Both devices only show the first 166 movies. I've waited at the end of the list and no more show up, yet new titles that fall below the cutoff alphabetically show up just fine in the new category.

Yay, glad it is working for you. we tested it on like 4 phones and 3 tablets, but it is nice to know that it is working in the field.
