So, I am currently wrapping up all the information I need to LOOK at upgrading to Win8 on all my PC's in the next month or two... as the future cometh and I will move on to it regardless... (but if in the next month or two things don't improve my HTPC will likely remain on Win7)
That said I thought I remembered people complaining about oddities on their XBox 360's not working properly as extenders with Win8 machines as the source... is this true? I cannot re-locate those comments and just want to know what possible headaches I may be running into in the process...Again, just basically scouting, so please don't just give me a blanket "No don't do it!" as I tend to be an early adopter and would like to weigh all options myself
Windows 8 and Xbox 360 as extenders

There have been two issues I've seen on the Windows site. One is getting 5.1 audio from any video format. The second is a degraded image quality.
