No cool. I never got a secondary email. Be pretty bummed if I got bumped somehow.

Yeah, I didn't get the 2nd confirmation email. That would be a real bummer indeed. :/kikflip wrote:No cool. I never got a secondary email. Be pretty bummed if I got bumped somehow.

Not sure a 2 month lull can be considered "beta" . Chances are the units which are shipped to us beta folks will be very close to final release. Which is great news.BangBang wrote:Looks like first week of October for our betas. Everyone go back to sleep for a while

Never mind. I just checked my other email account and saw the email from Ceton.

Just to clear this up a bit so people don't worry, everyone should have received only 1 email about confirmation. Sometimes our email system we use with importing and such and if you registered twice you might have gotten a second email, but it was unintentional. No one got bumped and you are still fine if you received one of the confirmations and entered Yes!spanner wrote:My first email was on July 15 saying i had to confirm by July 31. my second came on Aug 28 saying i had to confirm by Sept 7th. Sorry to be the nay-sayer (again... but it's not like Ceton has an abundance of love for me)... but I sure hope the Echo release goes smoother than the Companion release. I'd say that the Companion release was more like a pre-beta (somewhere between alpha and beta)... if even that. Don't get me wrong... we're all happy that you guys at Ceton are adding new options, features and functionality to Media Center... but no software release should have been as buggy as that. I like the Companion app, and I appreciate that you fixed a lot of the bugs in the first day or so... but those should not have existed after you had so many beta testers using it. In my company... if we had put out a beta like that, our customers would have literally been in our office, putting ropes round our necks and hanging us from the ceilings. Granted, we charge a lot more than $4.99 for our product (more like 1000 times that, per month)... but still... that was not beta material.
Let's hope the Echo fares better.
