Too early for me to track anything down. Rob may have access to some internal stats tho.

OK, I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say the big drop off at the end of the chart was when the site was transitioned from TGB to WEC......

In case anyone is wondering, the April point on the graph has a value of 51,946. The May point has a value of 6,300.

Yes I thought that too, but then when I looked into things further, they are still statting right now for this domain. The redirect is in effect, still making thegreenbutton.com generate stats.
What I think is going on here, is that it's marking any user who still types in thegreenbutton.com, into their browser (favourite etc.).
Unfortunately, as WEC is a massive multi-all-in-one site, it’s now difficult to measure mediacenter related traffic alone.

Well all that first graph tells me is the amount of traffic for thegreenbutton.com. The only conclusion that can be drawn from that graph is traffic has dropped for thegreenbutton.com. But it doesn't say anything for experts.windows.com. You would have to pull a graph for experts.windows.com and combine the two graphs to get a true representation of the traffic pattern. And while there might be some content unrelated to WMC, the majority of all content on experts.windows.com is still WMC related. I'd say a there's not enough non-WMC content to skew the graph.

You might see something like this if you pull both graphs and combine them together (forgive my crappy paint skills):

And as you can see from the windows.com graph, there is a slight rise in visitors from April to May, but remember it's on a different scale. The first graphs is measuring in thousands, and the 2nd graph is measuring in millions.

Specifially, windows.com saw a gain of 335,414 visitors from April to May. It's a fair assumption that some of that increase could have been because people were visiting experts.windows.com. But without a graph specifically for experts.windows.com, no real conclusion can be drawn.
