Wish there was a MCE app . . . I have Prime because of my Kindle Fire but I've not used it much for watching video.

I recall reading a while back of someone who had managed to use an Amazon app that downloads locally and configured it for their library in MC. Can't recall the specifics, but the seemed to like the solution and I believe they were able to queue things easily for download. Sorry I cannot remember more, but I don"t use prime.JTScribe wrote:Wish there was a MCE app . . . I have Prime because of my Kindle Fire but I've not used it much for watching video.

Ok, looked it up and found this:

Also checked out unbox and it seems it isn't for instant streaming, so perhaps not a solution after all.

No, not exactly "instant", but pretty darn fast. You install Amazon Unbox on your Media Center PC, specify the directory where the videos will be saved, and then point Media Center to the same location for "videos".
Then, you login to Amazon on your PC/laptop/tablet/whatever, choose a movie/show, and send it to your Media Center PC. It will download within minutes (sometimes seconds), and then you can browse your "Video" library in Media Center and watch the movie/show. Pretty easy stuff.
I've only tried this with free stuff so far... and the video quality on the free stuff I tried was sub-par compared to Netflix, but it was very, very easy to use. I watch primarily cable TV and OTA shows, with a little bit of Netflix streaming and DVD/BluRay rentals thrown in... so I may not be the best source of information, but I will say that Amazon Unbox is very easy to use.
