I just thought I'd follow-up my harsh prediction of the future regarding mac vs PC and say that I recently met someone who works at apple that has access to some internal data. I cannot attest to the quality of his information, other than the fact that he had no reason to lie to me. But he says that Macs are *already* outselling PCs by 10:1. That number is surprisingly high for me, but i suppose its possible. This excludes iOS devices, and says nothing about how many people install windows on their Mac.

Perhaps he had no reason to lie, but I think I would want some substantiation of his claim. After all, some people think that God exists as well...

That claim that Macs are outselling PCs by 10 to 1 is BS. In fact, it's the exact opposite, with PCs outselling Macs by 10 to 1. I'm not sure where your friend got his information, but he's about as far from the truth as a person can be. In Q1 2012, Apple was ranked 3rd in US sales, accounting for approximately 10% of all Q1 2012 computer shipments. There's absolutely no way they went from 10% 2 months ago to 91% today.
