Hi

Do either of you have Linksys DMA extenders ? And if so do these resulting files play OK on them ?

Thanks
Stuart

I believe your asking more from your dma than it can provide. Try encodeing a small file with some lower setting , at maybe 1280x720 and see if they work. I came across this site which may be of help for your particular situation, worth a look at any rate. http://thedigitalmediazone.com/2010/10/ ... h-mkv2vob/

Personally i use clownbd to get avc/ac3, load into handbrake and encode. I use only divx plus and ac3 filter to watch movies on my pc or stream to extenders. i have never hooked my pc up as an htpc so i cant comment on that though my pc monitor is hdmi .

I've just noticed one issue with some of these WTV files I have created but not all of them, is that in Air Video on the iPod Touch, some of the WTV files say: invalid No Video Stream found in file and Air Video cannot play them to the iOS device.

You dont need the shark codec pack. The shark codec pack produces horrible quality because they are decoding on the server side. The only thing you need is the divx codec.

This enables decoding on the xbox/extender which produces far better quality videos. Have not had any problem just using this codec.
