WMC errors (nonsensical) when recording should initiate

WMC keeps throwing up errors when shows are scheduled to be recorded - not every time but often. Sometimes despite the error the show is still recorded.

I've pasted examples below - would appreciate help in translating them and knowing how to fix/stop them:

Warning 3/14/2024 8:28:00 PM Recording 8 None Air Crash Investigations: Deadly Data was not recorded due to an unexpected failure.
Error 3/14/2024 8:28:00 PM ehRecvr 3 None TV tuner encountered an error. (0xc0040524) IT9135 BDA Filter
Warning 3/14/2024 8:28:00 PM Recording 8 None Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy: Piedmont was not recorded due to an unexpected failure.
Error 3/14/2024 8:28:00 PM ehRecvr 3 None TV tuner encountered an error. (0xc0040524) IT9135 BDA Filter
Warning 3/14/2024 8:00:00 PM Recording 8 None Foreign Correspondent: Series 2024, Episode 3 - After October 7 - Israel was not recorded due to an unexpected failure.
Error 3/14/2024 8:00:00 PM ehRecvr 3 None TV tuner encountered an error. (0xc0040524) IT9135 BDA Filter

Don't really know about these errors but a google search for 0xc0040524 finds some info about "Disable the background EPG scanner" which fixed it for this person (although their problem involved getting the error when putting the machine to sleep). Other posts about it seem to reference uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the tuner card.

This post also had that error code but it appears to be a pop-up during the recording (probably also put an entry in the log). In this case they uninstalled the tuner device driver and had it re-installed.

I don't know much about your tuner (is it USB?), but perhaps try removing the tuner and reconnecting, or removing, rebooting your PC then reconnecting.

I'm just trying to give you some ideas here, like I said, I don't know much about this specific issue or the tuner, so you may want to wait for other responses before you do anything.
