Cox cable remote doesn’t have 30 second forward skip for recorded programs



The cox remote has a 7 second backward skip but no forward skip. I’m forced to use fast forward so I over/undershoot everytime.



I have a RCAP05BR I think it has a pre-mapped 30 second skip.


I would like to use the RCA independent of the Cox only use for the 30 second skip.
Other play functions like 7 second replay/play/ FF revevesre would be a bonus but the 30 sec skip is priority.
I don't want to reprogram the Cox but if it’s possible would like to know to program.


Please advice if this is possible to use the RCA for the 30 second skip an instruct on how to accomplice this. thanks
