Hi all
I had a second prime laying around so today i plugged it in for fun but didnt see the second prime. Got me thinking maybe media center wont support two primes for 6 tuners. It didnt occur to me that there may be a limit. Is there?
Thanks guys

By default, there is a limit in MC of 4 tuners. There are several tools that remove this limit, including EPG123.

I personally do not have two different tuners, so I can't speak to your issue with multiple tuners but I'd have to imagine it is simple to add a second set of tuners as part of the setup process.

I have had epg since the very beginning and i didn't know this. I will try doing the setup per epg instructions. I have always just had media center window 7 along with epg. I check no on download guide and proceed. Are there any other things a guy should be informed that you can think of?

Installing the Ceton drivers will also increase that WMC limit of 4 per tuner type to 32 in the same way epg123 does it and TunerSalad.

WMC will not automatically add new tuners. To get them added to WMC, you need to perform TV Setup again. Did you do that and it doesn't see the tuners? I'm also not sure if you need to run Digital Cable Assistant again for the new tuner.

My bad. Not Ceton, but Prime. So you will have to increase the limit using epg123 to be able to have all 6 tuners added to WMC.

Just a thought ... I have 3 prime tuners; I use the program Channels DVR. My 4 TV's use the Apple TV devices. I am able to use channels to watch and record TV on all Apple TV devices ... works like a charm.
