WTB: Ceton Infinitv 6 ETH
I'm looking for Ethernet version of InfiniTV 6 tuner. An overnight power outage at my place seems to have killed my current one after I've had it almost 10 years. Can't live without it!

Suspect the wall-wart supply 1st. I replaced mine w/ this one:

YMMV

It's not the power cord - the unit does power on but there is a high pitched whine from the electrics and a red light flashes continuously. Neither Ceton diagnostics nor WMC sees the tuner any longer

IF the supply cannot deliver stable 12vdc (under load), that's what I experienced. Right down to the high-pitched whine. Sections of the ETH6 logic were not being sufficiently powered.

That worked! I would not have thought of that being the issue. Thanks so much!

That's awesome! I know this would be a big relief for me if I was having this type of problem. To know I didn't have to go through the hassle of finding a new one, waiting for it to be delivered, configuring it with the CableCard, being nervous it wouldn't work, etc.
Thanks, d00zah, for helping!

Glad it worked for you, too. I love my Eth6, but with the FCC dropping the CC mandate & Spectrum starting to notify customers support will be dropped (long way off, I'm certain), dropping $$ on another tuner didn't seem right to me... Yankee thrift, & all. That said, I will enjoy my WMC, w/ CC tuner, until whatever end the e-gods have planned. & the spare supply will be useful elsewhere, no matter what.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

When I thought I would be without my tuners for a while until I could obtain and configure a new unit, I got a DVR from Spectrum for the interim. What a painful experience using that DVR. Amazing how superior WMC from Windows 7 days is compared to the DVR unit the cable company considers "current" I don't know what I am going to do in the future when I am no longer able to use it anymore.
