Windows 10 LTSC (1903) on a HP Elitedesk 800 home theater PC. Connected via Displayport->HDMI cable to a Yamaha AV amp then video up to a flatscreen TV also via HDMI. WMC 8.5.5, controlled by an HP TSG-IR02 "Media Center Remote".
Everything works perfect BUT FOR ONE thing: The HP media center remote controls the amplifier volume PERFECTLY on MP3 audio files, MP4/MKV etc video files... But on ripped DVD files (VOBs etc ripped by DVDDecryptor), volume is always 100% - have no control over it from the media center remote.
I used to be able to control DVD volume. What changed is my (new) amplifier. I used to go HTPC -> TV via Displayport/HDMI, then separately "Line out" to my older amplifier.
What's odd is that I can now, using HDMI, control every volume *EXCEPT* DVD files.
WMC remote controls all volumes but DVD
