Channel number doesn't display when changing channels.

Not sure what what happened, but when using the remote to change channels with the channel up or down button, or just entering the number on the remote, the channel number doesn't show on the bottom of the screen, only "callsign/channel name" and "show name" is displayed. I've been nursing this PC along without ever reinstalling windows or WMC for past 6 years and don't intend to reinstall them to try to fix it. Is there something I may have inadvertently changed that cause this? I've looked everywhere I could think of, but could not find anything. It's not a show stopper, but any help/advise is appreciated.

Update:
Ok, after some experimentation, setting the resolution from 2160p to 1080p, the channel numbers now show up. Unfortunately, the picture quility is terrible at 1080p with washed out colors. I'd rather live with the channel numbers not being displayed rather then poor picture quality. Not sure why the colors are washed out at 1080p, but I'll just run 2160.
