Hi,

I can't get my hauppauge dvr500 mce card enabled in WMC because of the low bit rerate error, all i need is an kb from microsoft but the links are not there anymore my question is if someone can help with these updates you need for the error!

Had the same problem with Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II (23xxx) (PVR 500), running in x64 Windows 7. ( 8 GB memory)
Never had any problems and good signal in Windows Vista so it is not the signal.
Found there is a memory problem if you have too much memory. My solution in x64 Windows 7 was to create a second boot entry, and limit the memory to 3000 MB 
 - start elevated command shell
 - bcdedit /copy {current} /d "Windows 7 Limited memory voor TV"
 - bcdedit /set {GUID} truncatememory 0xbb800000
Where {GUID} is the guid you get outputtted in the line above.
then reboot and choose the 'limited memory' boot option. now the MCE starts and records without a problem!!!

sad I can't use all the memory, but for the short time it works.

yep this did the trick a had 12 gb of memory and no i use only 2 gb and it is working again, thanks !
