Help with getting Guide to Update

#1

Post by Toys7505 » Sun Jan 12, 2020 3:44 pm

Hi there -

Still new to this EPG123 thing. MY guide says it will be out of data in 3 days. In the window I have it setup to run the Scheduled task at 230 AM but it says that it hasn't run since I installed EPG123 back on 1/1/20. What am I doing wrong? Gotta be something simple I am over looking?!?!?
Appreciate any help....
Thanks,
Toys

Click the [View Log] and see if it details the reason the task has not run.

So the task is created but has never run? The status still says "Ready. The task has not yet run. Exit: 0x00000001"?

Correct..... how do I get it to automatically run? Also, is there there a way to manually force an update?

Thanks,
Toys

For a manual update, open EPG123 and click the [Save & Execute] button.

When that is done, open Task Scheduler, select the task "epg123_update", and click the 'Run' button on the right. Wait a couple seconds and then click the 'Refresh' button on the right a couple times and take a look at the epg123_update task status. If it says 'Running', then the task is fine... there is something wrong with your Task Scheduler.

Ok, I have run the manual update, got guide info once again.....

I then followed your instructions for the Task Scheduler......when I ran it it displays "The system cannot find the path specified, (0x80070003)
20200112_141641.jpg
Also, when I double click the epg123 desktop icon, I get a Configuration Warning....."Theblocation of this program file is not the same location configured in the Scheduled Task". I think this might be my issue but how do I fix it?

Thanks,
Toys

Delete your current task and create a new one. You at some point created a task while epg123.exe was located at c:\epg123\epg123.exe, but later installed in the default location? The task doesn't know you did that.
