I can't seem to get EPG123 to create a schedule to update the guide. I just did it manually which worked fine. I see this error in the log:
[1/11/2020 9:23:13 PM] [ERROR] Failed to create a daily update task in Task Scheduler. Exit: 80004005
[1/11/2020 9:23:13 PM] [ INFO] Successfully queried the Task Scheduler for status. No task is scheduled to run.
I tried running EPG as administrator and that didn't seem to help with creating a scheduled update either. I am not sure if it is related, but I can't search the guide either, WMC says the guide is still being indexed.

I'm not sure why the task would not be created, but for the indexing... I will make a guess you are using Win10 and your Search and Indexing are not enabled. Open 'Indexing Options', verify WMC is included in the locations, click [Advanced] and then [Rebuild]. Indexing may take a little while, but your search in WMC will then work.
