Server mode and client file import

#1

Post by AllIn7MC » Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:03 pm

Hi Gary,

Thanks for making EPG123. It is great.

I have several windows 7 MC systems and would like to use one server to create the MXF file and then the others to import it. I have installed the v1.3.3.10. On the machine to be the server, the MXF file gets placed in a subfolder of Program Files (x86) and I am unable to make a shared folder in that location (that I know of by right clicking and making a share). Is there a way to specify the MXF file location? I did not see it readily in the options.

Failing that, is there a way to force a folder share in Program FIles (x86) ?

Also, is there a way to see what version of EPG123 I am running? I have another machine with an earlier version but can't remember which one.

Thanks!

I do not have any method to define where the MXF file will be saved. The MXF file is saved in the C:\ProgramData\GaRyan2\epg123\output folder and not the Program Files folder. I've never had an issue sharing the output folder so I don't know why you would.

For the client GUI, you can click the [View Log] button and scroll to the bottom. You should see the version number in a "banner" like text.

Thanks. I was trying to share the wrong folder (with the executable), and not the program data folder...(it will let me share the Programdata folder).
