Mixed lineup problem

#1

Post by NJCyber » Sat Dec 29, 2018 10:55 pm

Hi all,
I'm having a very weird issue with the channels being presented in WMC. It looks like a possible bug - but not sure because it's so weird. Currently using the latest 1.2.8.
My lineup is showing channel numbers from two different providers - some are from an old provider and some from my new provider.
If I download the lineup through WMC/ROVI - all the channels are correct.
When I download the lineup with EPG123 - all channels present correctly in the lineup menu selection before I perform "Save & Execute"
When I look at the lineup at WMC after download it displays some channels from my previous lineup and some from my new one.
For example - Channel 507 should be WABC and shows WABC in the EPG123 lineup, but when looking at the WMC guide it shows up as "Anime Network On Demand".
Channel 600 shows correctly as CNN on both the guide and the lineup.
Other channels that only existed in my previous provider - they appear in the WMC/Guide.
So far I've tried uninstalling and deleting the programdata directories and re-installing.
I also verified the lineup at schedules direct - and it shows the correct lineup. Tried to delete the lineups and adding them after deleing in schedulesdirect.

Any idea what's going on? Is this a bug?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you still downloading the old provider in EPG123? You will need to remove the old provider lineup in EPG123... at a minimum EXCLUDE the lineup from being downloaded.

Thanks for the quick answer Gary.
I removed the old provider a while back and it has no record in either the lineups or in schedules direct.
That's why I have no idea where this information is coming from - since for all I could tell the system should not even be aware if it.

Open the client and click the pulldown on the right side ... how many lineups are there?

Actually, this is not a bug but a limitation. When you remove a lineup for download from SD, the lineup still exists in the WMC database. The only way to get rid of it, and avoid the old lineup being automatically matched back to tuner channels, is to delete the lineup or start from scratch. I have a delete option to the right of that lineup pulldown... just a red 'X'. Select your old provider lineup in the pulldown and click the 'X' button. Once done, select your current provider lineup and click the Match by: [# Number] button on the left side.

Thanks Gary. I must be missing something, since I cann't seem to find that red X you mentioned. I looked for it under the main channel list in EPG123 and in the lineup submenu and couldn't find it. I did a remove under the lineups submenu which also didn't help.
I also couldn't find in in WMC.
Tried the following:
1. download both lineups, and include both. "Save and execute", - channel number increased
2.I included the new one and excluded the old one (was exclude the red you referred to?). When I did the exclude on the lineup all the channels were selected. "Save & execute". channel number decreased
3. Then I removed the old one from the lineups sub menu. "Save & Execute
None of that seemed to make a difference. I also tried to check the WMC lineup after every step - it seemed to stay the same.
I must be missing something that's right in front of me.

Thanks

Sorry. You need to run the EPG123 Client (epg123Client.exe), not the configuration GUI (epg123.exe). You may have to increase the form size to see the button.

That seemed to do the trick. Thanks Gary and Happy new year.
