Installing 2nd Ceton Infinitv4 card in same machine
Hi Everyone,
I purchased a 2nd Ceton Infinitv4 card (which i should get on Thursday), which I am planning on installing in the same pc as the 1st card & planning on using Tunersalad so I get 8 tuners (if all goes right). I was wondering if anybody had any tips or anything that would help with the installation of the 2nd card. While I know the 1st one was pretty easy (well after I uninstalled Norton), I would think that the installation of the 2nd card would be different.
Thanks

Run TunerSalad before installing the second tuner. Once you install the tuner, verify that everything looks okay using the Ceton InfiniTV Diagnostic Utility. Most cable providers require pairing of the tuner and CableCard, so make sure you contact your provider. Once the tuner is installed and paired, you have to re-run the WMC tuner setup to detect the additional tuners.

Might want to look into this yourself but I believe the newest Ceton driver package removes the tuner limit and tuner salad is no longer needed.

erkotz posted on WEC that the newest driver sets the tuner limit to 30, but Ceton only officially supports up to 12 right now: http://experts.windows.com/frms/windows ... spx#547393
Bad news for makryger, good news for Ceton customers.

Thanks for the post. Of course I already made my $5 donation for Tunersalad. Oh well, I've "wasted" (probably the wrong word to use) more money before (especially at a casino)

Sigh. I guess I'll have to pay off my student loans some other way :/richard1980 wrote: Bad news for makryger, good news for Ceton customers.
Although, to be clear, TunerSalad is still relevant for non-US customers and non-Ceton Customers.
My Channel Logos XL: Get your Guide looking good! ~~~~ TunerSalad: Increase the 4-tuner limit in 7MC

Well I recieved the 2nd card & installed it. Upon boot up, it detected the 2nd card & said I had to rerun the tv setup. Called the cable co & gave them the #'s & after 5 minutes or so was back up & running.
