Linkys DMA2100/2200 uses Media Center Remote?

#1

Hi Everyone,

I purchased a Linksys DMA2200 off of Ebay, which I didn't get the remote (the seller apologized & said they will be sending it to me). While looking to see if there was a universal remote that I could get, I read that someone used their media center remote. Sure enough, I tried it with mine & the it worked with the Linksys.

Do all Media Center remotes work on the Linksys or was I lucky mine just so happened to work?

Also do anybody know of any decent & cheap Universal remotes that would also work?

Thanks

All of them work. Any remote that works as a standard Media Center remote will work with Linksys extenders. I have five extenders, they all behave the same.

+1 .. I have a DMA 2100 and all my MC remotes work on it also.
A good cheep universal remote that works is the Logitech Harmony 300.. costs around 39.99 and works well with MC/DMA 2100's as well. http://www.logitech.com/en-au/remotes/u ... vices/6670

Thanks everyone. I didn't want to purchase a remote & assumed it was going to work (just because the one I have does)

The DMA remote is pantaloni. Both of mine sit in a drawer.
