WMC Windows 7 - Fort Collins, Colorado - 1:00pm

Updated on it's own. Did not need to do anything. Everything looks great!

Birmingham, Alabama, 3:55pm. I took out the hosts entries that I had added yesterday, rebooted and run WMC.
Went to the guide about page and it had updated data up to 2/19!
Glad to see this was fixed on the Microsoft side of things. Thanks to the Microsoft folks that have kept a good thing running!

I had no data past the super bowl here in central CT, so on Saturday I changed my setup from Comcast to Frontier and back. That brought me up to Tuesday night at 7PM. Uninstalled January quality update 2646 and gave up.
This morning, still nothing past 7pm Tuesday, so I re-installed update 2646 and upon reboot at 8am EST, my data all magically reappeared.
Thank you to Microsoft or whoever fixed the EPG data stream.

I have the "not populating" issue with OTA programming - on one WMC (W7) it reports "3 days left" downloads, completes, then has the same complaint all over again, another (W8.1) I futzed with the database and re-set up and that will now not download the guide at all.

I can confirm that both of mine updated to 02/19 at 6:00pm CST, for OTA channels in Dallas-Fort Worth (Win 7 Pro x64 SP1). It did take two updates on each, and I had to shutdown and restart WMC. I'm good until it happens again. I am going to start looking at alternatives, so I see if I want to stick with WMC. It looks like most use a .ts file format.

Win 8.1 MC. Multiple prompts and attempts to update guide data over the weekend were unsuccessful. Guide had only a day or so left of guide data as of this afternoon.

However following the typical prompt to immediately download succeeded for the first time in several days.

Other than multiple attempts at download and OS restarts over the weekend, I did nothing to correct the problem... the problem was on backend and resolved sometime today it appears.

Working here in Houston again. I was planning on moving everything hastily to EPG123 today.... even paid for a year of Schedules Direct. I wonder if I should try to get a refund or go through with the switchover.

I have registered on Microsoft Connect, but when I click the links under this topic to "bump up" I get a link not found type message. My cable provider is Charter and I am unable to retrieve updated guide data like everyone else. I see a few have rebooted and successfully retrieved guide data; no dice for me. Can anyone verify the "bump up" link for MS Connect?

My guide downloaded successfully today. I did uninstall the January Security update (January 2017 Security Monthly Quality Rollup, KB3212646) last night and this evening my guide was updated. I am not sure if removing the update helped or not.

I have windows 7 on a 64 bit machine.

W7MC was working for awhile, recording fine everything worked, then I couldn't download the guide. It said it was downloading, but nothing happened.
Then I tried to re do the setup and it wouldn't download.
Now when I boot up MC all I see on the tv page is "recorded shows" and live tv setup. When I try to run the setup it stalls out on downloading the setup and guide. I can't get anything.

Is it me or ... has the quality of the guide also improved? My (admittedly limited) data set is college basketball games, which I'm a fan of. I don't think I see a single "Teams to Be Announced" anywhere, all teams are actually listed. I don't think I've seen this since the Rovi switch.

Maybe Rovi has been watching this forum and seen our comments?
