Apparently, of the 290 million households with at least one tv, 129 million have DVRs. That was a surprising number!

That's people, not households. The US population is about 313 million people (according to the US Census clock), with approximately 100 million households.

Interesting stats about 3D TV too. It's too bad there's not more demand for 3D. So far, I'm very impressed with mine. If everything was filmed in 3D (vs. those that are converted from 2D to 3D), I'd watch it all the time. I don't mind the glasses at all... they don't bother me one bit. When done well, it makes everything more life like.

Back when HDTV first starting coming out, they said it was just like looking through a window. It wasn't quite that good... but now with 1080P resolution and 3D... it really is like looking through a window.
