Email Notification For Each New Post?

#1

Post by StumpyBloke » Tue Jun 07, 2011 1:13 pm

Just wondering if there is a way to have the option for each user to disable receiving an email for every new post to a topic they are subscribed to? EG avforums only send out one email per topic until you re-visit the site. This obviously saves bandwidth and reources on the server and stops inboxes from being fill up. Ta

I'll have a look, I'm not sure how flexible the notifications are, it might need a different MOD.

Sorry Rich, didn't mean to shout!
It's just a modification that clever people create for the forum software. I applied one earlier to get contents displayed in notification mails

Are you still getting emails? Having trouble getting changes to stick.

Good stuff, there seems to be possible issues over at the hosting company again, I'm going to leave all email related stuff for a day or so to see if things settle down.
