I'm thinking about replacing WMC with streaming from Xbox One plus Windows 10.
What's not clear to me is how seamless the stream is. I'm hoping it's just the Xbox App and then Live TV. And also hoping there are keyboard shortcuts that will get you around a lot quicker
I'm hoping to get rid of HD Homerun and replace it with Xbox One and it's DVR functionality. Just not sure how well this will work through Windows 10. I want everything to be centralized to my HTPC in the end.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. It errors out and says the app isn't available for streaming. I've tried all the video apps and non seem to allow streaming.
Matt O. ...tivo what? ...dish dvr--uh... huh? ...cable dvr fees--you're kidding, right?

I have Emby running on a PC, if I open a live TV stream in the Xbox Media Player I can stream live TV to my win 10pc flawlessly. And I actually can stream to 2 win 10 PCs at the same time. I know not exactly your situation, but the streaming video works great.

Why would you need Emby?

I guess you wouldn't, just an app that would stream live TV via DLNA.andy_d wrote:Why would you need Emby?

Are there Windows shortcuts to launch the Windows Xbox App and to get into Live TV?

Looks like I need to use their tuner instead of being able to connect a cable box to the hdmi in? If that's the case, then no point in me looking into this any further
