Formerly, I had the use of each word down pat. Unfortunately, my work frequently calls for the use of the suffixes ive & ity, which as I'm sure a linguistics professional and grammar master such as your self is aware, muddies the waters a bit.

Mike, I've only seen rare glimpses of my former problem. And only recently at that. The fact that it appeared with HDD switch, and vanished again with that HDD being removed..... lends to the theory. Same as with the testing you've done. I don't know that we can truly prove it, but it sure seems supported.

Yep. I had a laptop drive that couldn't cope as a rec tv drive and got the same issues (picture break up/pixelation).
