Best switch configuration
Using hdhomerun dual with WMC 7. Internet coming through router to managed switch where all devices connect to one another. How can I best configure switch to reduce video freezes and optimize switch traffic? Using xbox360 as extender.

Are you having video freezes?
I'm not using a HD Homerun, I'm using a Ceton PCIe unit--but I don't have any problems with four TVs in the house, and my configuration is very much like yours.
Four years ago when I started down this path, I knew that reliable throughput was the issue. So I didn't worry about my CPU--it's just an i3--but I did go out and get all new network cabling, plus I got a commercial-grade switch (used, but still).

In most cases, an unmanaged modern switch works just fine.
Have you tried to disable network throttling yet?
Maybe worth a bash;
Modify from default value of 10 to the hexadecimal FFFFFFFF and restart the PC.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\
Name : NetworkThrottlingIndex
Value type : DWORD
Value data : From integer 1 through integer 70 (Decimal) (Decimal)

yes, my switch is unmanaged. Agreed, it should all work just fine.
