All I can find on this is very old info.
I have win 8.1 Media Center OS on a 120gb drive, 2 data drives totaling 4gb for data
I want to take a macrium backup image and put it on a larger drive.
I think playready might be ok for just the hard drive change?
But even if that happens I think I can fix that. What about existing recordings on the data drives? Will they play if I image the drive and then right away re-image it onto the new one?
I read somewhere the dates matter on the protected files. (which all wtv files are right?)

The recordings themselves can be moved around however you like, what you have to maintain are the PlayReady DRM keys.

ok, here's a real life experience. I did this this morning...
Made an image of C via Macrium and restored it to a larger hard drive
Rebooted and everything is working normally.
Even older recordings from yesterday play fine so the protected content isn't hurt.
Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone worrying.
