I have been running WMC on Windows 7 Professional without any problems. I have been recording to a 750GB dedicated HDD within the computer. I replaced it with a 1TB HDD keeping the same drive letter when the 750GB drive failed. That's when my tv recordings began having the Video File Errors popping up.
What do I need to do to resolve this?

No genuine answer, but can you provide more info about your setup.
What was the old 750GB hardrive's brand/model and what is the new 1TB hard drive's brand/model?
Motherboard brand/model? CPU? Memory? SATA-II or SATA-III for the old and new drives?
How many programs were you recording simultaneously when the corresponding video file errors show on playback? Does this ALWAYS occur on EVERY recording? Or only occasionally?

HP w/AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20 GHz, 8GB RAM, 64-bit Win7 Pro.
Both drives are Seagate SATA/300.
The errors can occur multiple times in one recording. It doesn't seem to matter if one or two shows are being recorded.
I should also mention the problems do not exist if I record to another drive.

Maybe you are talking about a different Video File Error. There are a half dozen that from a quick glance all look the same. What is the error "Word for Word"?

Turning off exclusive mode does the trick for me.
