Deleting old Extender connections?

#1

Post by outhousecharlie » Sat Nov 01, 2014 8:08 am

Hi there.

It's good to be back on The GreenButton. I'm having problems getting my windows 8.1 PC and xbox 360 to see eachother over the network. I can't connect the extender or see my Xbox 360 in 'Play to'. However I can from other pc's and this PC can 'Play to' my xbox one.

I used to be able to find a really helpful link that showed you how to delete all the old extender connections. ( I think it included deleting MX files in the registry, but can't be sure.)

Does anyone know what I'm on about? Can anyone walk me through it?

Other than that does anyone have any other ideas. I've tried with the firewall totally disabled - no joy.

Thank you in advance.

Right-click on the Computer icon on the desktop or Start Menu, select Manage. Select Local Users and Groups, select Users. Your extender user accounts begin with Mcx. Right click on the account and select delete.
