With the recent problems with the EPG updating in WMC7, I started looking for an application that would display a message on the screen when the guide has not updated for a period of time (such as 7 days). I have not found one as of yet.
Anyone come across an app/batch file script/etc like this?

I believe it logs to the Windows Application Event Viewer.
You can set a scheduled task to search for the event and run a script if found.
