Only 5 QAM/ATSC channels retained with Avermedia m780

I am using Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center and my tuner is an Avermedia m780. When preforming the ATSC/QAM channel scan I can see it finding multiple channels (more than 5), but only the last 5 channels found are retained in the scan results and guide. I know I can try and add my digital channels manually, but that has the unfortunate drawback of not having those channels program data in the guide. I did not have this problem in Windows 7 using the same tuner and similar system hardware. It almost seems as if there is a setting somewhere (registry?) that is capping the max results to 5 since the final 5 found will vary slightly depending on my providers current channel map. As far as I know the drivers provided with Windows 8 are the latest for this device. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar during their channel scans?
