I finally was able to get back to my HTPC again and can now report that extending to my Xbox 360 works flawlessly. I was able to watch the recorded clip mentioned above as well as live TV without any problems. The picture is great. This now leads me to believe my issue is related to something from the GPU to the TV (GPU itself, DVI to HDMI adapter, HDMI cable, or the TV).

Hello all.
I was able to install a new GPU and it solved the playback problems. It appears to be working flawlessly now.

Update your Realtek LAN drivers directly from their website if you haven't already.
If you're using RAID you might want to get the RAID drivers directly from AMD. (Though, they're probably no newer.)

Yeah, I missed that obviously. However it's still good advice. The Realtek drivers have improved quite a bit. Fixed some issues on my Media Center computer.

Everything appears to be working but it couldn't hurt to do a driver update. Will check it out.

Now that you got it working good...backup an image of C:, router settings, bios settings if possible, and lockup the backups in the Vault.

Tru dat, after more than a year of working flawlessly my Win7 HTPC suddenly decided to break my non-Xbox extenders (got blank screen in WMC after green button logo on boot), with no changes that I made other than the auto-installed monthly MS patches. Always keep multiple restore points and a good, known working system image because you never know when an update will crap something out.
