Remote Access to MMC Server & Video Files Question
Hi,
First, let me say I really like this application - very handy, and does most of what I want. Just a couple questions,
- is there a way to control / access the server from another PC on my LAN? Not Windows 8 (where I could install the app from the store, right?), but rather a Windows 7 machine. Is there a Web Interface for example?
- I have added a directory to Movies, and inside that there are subdirectories with video files. But they don't show up under Movies ... is this expected?
Thanks!

Have you tried Win7's Remote Desktop?

Not sure I understand - you want to use a PC, and NOT MyMediaCenter to control another PC that has Windows Media Center (and the MMC "server") on it with the goal of setting up a WMC recording????
Isn't that just what something like Remote Potato is for? I don't think that MMC has any sort of "published" web interface, but clearly it uses some sort of communication to the remote server so it can talk to WMC...

Hi,
Sorry for the confusion, let me try to clarify. I have MyMediaCenter running on a Windows 8 machine - and want to use another (remote) PC to control it (and in the process, WMC). I bought the app to do this from my phone (and it works great), but want to know if there is a way to do this from a Windows 7 machine.
Thanks!

Did you try Crash2009's suggestion? Remote Desktop is the way to go.arrmo wrote:I bought the app to do this from my phone (and it works great), but want to know if there is a way to do this from a Windows 7 machine.

Yep, definitely works ... it's just a bit painful on a low bandwidth connection, that's all. Wasn't sure if there was another interface (like http for example).
Thanks!
Thanks!
