Tuners become unavailable when router reboots?

#1

When my router gets rebooted my Infi TV ETH6 becomes unavailable to anything on the network. A quick reboot of the infinTV fixes this. However this shouldn't happen, when the reboot happens the iniftv should sense the loss of the physical link (it is plugged into the router) and when the router comes back it should re-initialize the network stack. Instead it seems to sit their without a IP addr until I reboot it - anyone else experience this, any suggestions on how to fix? ( I figure I should plug it into a switch so that the link state stays up).

DHCP issue perhaps? Or is it static? If you connect to a switch that sits between the two, do you still have the issue? The point I'm trying to make is that the link loss and subsequent reconnect may be the issue, in that if the router isn't ready it could cause problems with the device.
