I have been waiting for an email response with the RCAware Win 8 driver after a reformat, no response and sad to see my HDMI CEC device sitting their doing nothing. I don't use my original TV remote but instead use an HTPC keyboard. With the RCAware plugin I was able to send a command to turn on and off my tv with this remote. Is this possible and fairly easy with what is being discussed here?

The EventGhost plugin for the Pulse-Eight CEC device uses Pulse-Eight's libCEC to control the device. I don't know if libCEC is supported on Win8. You'd have to ask Pulse-Eight about that. If it is supported, then yes it would work.

The guy at RCAware has vanished from the face of planet earth.
