Hello All,

I have been using media player now for 2 years and I can not find a setting to change the date format for the title of the show/movie. It shows the time/day and so on but is there a way to adjust them or at lease get rid of it. I store all of my DVR's until I have a full season and like to keep them in order by changing the title to S_ E_. Does anyone know how to do this ? Thanks for your help with this issues!

My WMC notes suggest that for Win7 there is a registry setting that might do what you want:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\...
...\Media Center\Service\Recording\Filenaming

I believe that this is a string that provides a template for naming recordings. You can use the following placeholders in the template to specify the values that you want:

%Ch -- Channel Number
%Cn -- Channel Name
%T -- Title of show
%Et -- Episode Title
%Dt -- Date and Time
Example: %T_%Et

I have never used this, so I don't know whether it actually works!
