Playlists exported from J River Media Center

#1

Post by boydn1 » Wed Feb 12, 2014 10:05 pm

I'm trying to export playlists from J River Media Center and have tried
exporting to .WPL and .ASX, then copy to user/music/playlist. When I open
WMC the .WPL don't show up in under music/playlist. The .ASX shows up but
all of the song titles are "GETFILE".

It sounds like you may be exporting playlists from a JRiver Library Server client? If so, instead try exporting the playlists in from your server which should write the appropriate paths.

Have you opened the .wpl files in a text editor to make sure all the tracks are written as expected? Also make sure that the folder where you are exporting them is added as one of the media folders in the WMC music library.
